FOSSILS IN SLATE CLOCK *SOLD*

Amazing gift for anyone who is interested  in fossils and palaeontology,

The slate itself is from the St. Dominick Cornish slate collection that I have and I was as surprised as anyone to find this specimen, however, not being a fossil expert, coupled with the fact that when fossils are found in slates they are often distorted, I cannot identify the fossils in particular. When designing the clock I took particular care so that no part of the fossil was removed in the making.

To mark the hours I have touched in the edges of the slate with metallic gold, so as not to distract from the surface or the fossils, yet to allow the clock to be used as a functioning and useful item.

All clocks are fitted with a Seiko quartz movement and come complete with a 1.5v battery, which will keep the clock running for approximately 2 years. All clocks have an integral metal hanger, fixed around the spindle that passes through the actual slate itself.
