DELABOLE SLATE AND MOSS-AGATE CLOCK
An unusual futuristic-meets-ancient clock, combining reclaimed Delabole slate, real moss-agate cabochons and a design that makes them look extremely modern.
I like to use reclaimed Cornish slate for a number of reasons, primarily because the weathered look is extremely attractive and the variations on these old slates are unusual and can be very beautiful. Secondly, these slates have done good service on a roof for maybe hundreds of years and to recycle them in a new form saves on the environmental impact of my work and,of course, because they are Cornish.
All clocks are fitted with a Seiko quartz movement and come complete with a 1.5v battery, which will keep the clock running for approximately 2 years. All clocks have an integral hanger, fixed around the spindle that passes through the actual slate itself.
