'THE NERO' SLATE CHEESE BOARD / CAKE PLATE

'The Nero' slate cheeseboard / cake plate is a useful 30cm by 20cm and tucks nicely in the fridge with your every-day range of cheeses on (lightly covered with cling-film) yet would hold enough variety for after dinner or for a salad lunch.

However it is in displaying and serving the range of rectangular desserts and savoury tarts, so poplular today, that 'The Nero' slate serving plate comes into its own, where its size and shape suit these items wonderfully and perfect slicing and serving is made easier as there is no awkward rim to get in the way.

Standing on 8mm high domed rubber feet, this slate cheese board is easy to pick-up as it stands proud of the table, elegant and with its beautifully crafted, olive-oil conditioned, food-safe surface, it is a delight to use.

Nothing sets of the colours of cheeses as well as the dark yet patterned surface that slate offers, and at annmade we use a type slate that has not only the surface variations but also a degree of banding and mineral lines that add character to the slate.

Can be written on with chalk to identify cheeses displayed.
Surface can be washed with mild detergent and hand-hot water, and surface sheen may be restored by lightly oiling with warm olive oil.
